Corrie’s Story
Corrie’s roots in Banff run deep. Her grandparents immigrated to the mountain town from Italy in the late 1950s and their decision to build a life here created her lifelong connection to this special place.
After earning a journalism degree, Corrie rediscovered her love for Banff while working as a local newspaper reporter, listening to the community and telling its stories. That experience inspired her to run for office.
She was first elected to Banff Town Council in 2013, and in 2021, she was elected mayor, a role she finds both challenging and deeply rewarding.
In addition to her role in municipal government, Corrie has worked for organizations such as the Banff Canmore Community Foundation, Roam Public Transit, and Banff Pride as communications and storytelling support.
Outside of work, she finds joy in backcountry hut trips with friends, as well as running, biking, and hiking in the mountains she’s always called home.
